Dejonghe: Implants make a world of difference

I finally got implants.

Not that anyone would really notice but I got one in May and the other in June which definitely made it a bit awkward but the doctor absolutely refused to do both at the same time.

Oh, not those implants, I am talking about the lens implants after cataract removal. Way, way, too late in the overall scheme of things to get the other kind.

My specialist at the Ivy Clinic in London set me up with the surgeon, who he called one of “the best there is.” The surgery was done at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital.

The first removal went easily, no discomfort (a word medical types use for pain), no after effects, a bit blurry vision for a day or two but my glasses were still doing the job.

What I noticed first was the difference in colour and brightness.........
