Letter: Saving trees in Halifax is a must, not a bust

When humans decide what they revere is worth fighting tooth and nail for, the consequences comprise the full spectrum of resistance

Take the temperature on a Halifax street with no mature trees and do the same on a street like Robie, Dublin, or any number of them with a hardwood canopy. It goes without saying that the difference is significant and a boon to reducing medical costs, ecological chaos and criminal activity (studies show trees on streets reduce crime).
