Nifty tools hidden away in Windows

Windows is not just a complicated and often frustrating operating system which runs your computer. It also contains some nifty, hidden, features and utilities which can simplify many tasks, and they’re fairly easy to use. 

Here are three that I use on a regular basis.

One of your computer’s greatest time-saving features is cutting and pasting. On a Windows computer this involves using the mouse to select text or a graphic and the key combination of Ctrl C to copy the selection or Ctrl X to cut it. This places the item in the clipboard, and Ctrl V pastes it into a new location. It’s possible to rearrange a document by copying or cutting and pasting sentences, paragraphs, and graphics, or create an entirely new document using bits and pieces from websites and other docs. 

A potential problem is that only one item at a time can be placed in the clipboard, which can become tedious and frustrating when you overwrite something in the clipboard which you need........
