Spooky Halloween fun had by all in Buckhorn

It was almost impossible not to celebrate the festivities Oct. 31 in Buckhorn. It all started at around 11 a.m. at Buckhorn Public School, with children milling about, escaping the witches, a Dracula or two, and super heroes coming out of the washrooms, where they had made their transformation.

Next they appeared walking to the gym, where the whole school gathered. These goblins and princesses, vampires and kangaroos were put in groups that then went to the classrooms, where activities awaited them.

There was an eyeball and spoon relay, a maze with a ghost, musical chairs, ghost and pumpkin find, spooky dances, Halloween bingo, ghost bowling, witch’s hat ring toss, skull bucket toss, and on it goes. And, of course, there were treats to share with fellow goblins.

More than 200 gathered at the Buckhorn Community Centre for a Halloween........
