Peterborough history comes alive with Trent Valley Archives’ walking tours

The Trent Valley Archives 2026 tour season has begun and if you are interested in taking one of these historical tours, check out the offerings and book your dates soon. These popular walking tours tend to sell out quickly. 
Upcoming tours and dates include:

Peterborough Perpetrators: True Crime Tour (Friday, July 10 at 7 p.m. and Friday, July 24, at 7 p.m.): During this downtown tour led by Maddie More, participants will learn about the robberies, murders and other crimes that captivated the attention of the Peterborough community in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Tragic Tales Little Lake Cemetery Tour (Friday, July 17 at 7 p.m. and Friday, July 31 at 7 p.m.): This Little Lake Cemetery tour led by Mona Wilkes will feature tales of woe from turn-of-the-century Peterborough.

Mainstreet Music: Downtown Peterborough’s Iconic Music Venues (Friday, Aug. 7 at 7 p.m. and Friday, Aug. 21 at 7 p.m.): Discover the venues that became the pillars of Peterborough’s vibrant music scene from the 1950s to the present during this downtown tour. 

Women’s History Little Lake Cemetery Tour (Sunday, Sept. 13 at 2 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 20 at 2 p.m.): Led by Gillian Holden, this Little Lake Cemetery tour highlights women’s contributions to the Peterborough........
