Winds of change Pakistan on move: Navigating challenges
PAKISTAN stands at a decisive crossroads in its national journey, one that demands short-term stabilization alongside a long-term blueprint for transformation. After years of economic turbulence, the country is finally exhibiting signs of recovery. Yet sustaining this momentum will require consistent structural reforms, sound governance and innovative thinking that connects Pakistan meaningfully with the global economy.
The economy, long burdened by recurring external and fiscal crises, has begun to stabilize. According to the World Bank, Pakistan’s GDP growth is projected to reach around 2.7% in FY2025, with a possible rise to 3% in subsequent years. Inflation, though still high, has started to ease and foreign exchange reserves have improved considerably compared to last year’s lows. However, this stabilization remains fragile.
