Tamil Nadu Weather: Widespread rainfall expected across state till May 19

As per the department, the weather system has strengthened in the region, favouring rainfall activity in Karnataka, especially in the Western Ghats, delta regions, as well as coastal districts.

Chennai: Several parts of Tamil Nadu may witness widespread rainfall in the coming days due to a low-pressure area over the southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining west-central Bay. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted isolated heavy rain in several districts of the state till May 19.
