‘Complex negotiations need patience and detailing’: Jaishankar on India-US trade deal

India and the US in February this year announced the finalisation of the framework for the first phase of the bilateral trade ties between both countries.

New York: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Tuesday said that a trade agreement between India and the US, when concluded, will help take bilateral ties between India and the US to the next level. The minister noted that expectations of rapid progress in negotiations in recent times had been “tested” against complex reality on the ground.
