PM Narendra Modi wishes countrymen on Eid-ul-Fitr, celebrations begin across nation
PM Narendra Modi extended Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to the countrymen on Saturday. He said that may the festival cultivate a sense of brotherhood and kindness in the country. President Murmu also wished the people on the occasion.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday extending Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to the countrymen. He posted a message on social media platform, ‘X’ for the people, especially the Muslims for whom Eid is one of the biggest festivals.

In a post on ‘X’, the PM said, “Best wishes on Eid-ul-Fitr. May this day further brotherhood and kindness all around. May everyone be happy and healthy. Eid Mubarak!”

Celebrations of Eid-ul-Fitr
Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated in India today, after the sighting of the Shawwal crescent moon. The festival marks the end of the Holy month of Ramazan, when Muslims across the world fast for a full 30 days. This is considered to be one of the most important festivals of Muslims.
On Saturday morning, huge crowds gathered at mosques across the country to offer Eid prayers. Delhi’s famous Jama Masjid saw Muslims gathering early morning for the prayers on the special occasion. Markets in the city were abuzz with shoppers on Friday as people made last minute preparations for the festival.
