Gujarat: Surat woman arrested for objectionable video on Mahatma Gandhi

A woman was arrested in Gujarat's Surat for allegedly posting an inappropriate video featuring a photograpg of Mahatma Gandhi. After her arrest the Surat Police released a video of her apologising to the people for her act.

New Delhi: The Gujarat Police have arrested a woman from Surat for allegedly posting an objectionable reel. The reel posted on social media handle Instagram, showed her handling a Rs 500 currency note, featuring Mahatma Gandhi which the police said was “handled in an objectionable manner.”

The video was posted on October 1, just a day before Gandhi Jayanti – Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary.

The content creator who posted the objectionable video on her Instagram handle has been identified as 47-year-old Sinran Patel. She boasts 1 million followers on the social........
