2 ballistic missiles from Iran detected, says UAE; Dubai on high alert

The residents of Dubai on Tuesday received mobile alerts regarding missiles, for the first time in several weeks. This was the first alert since a false alarm in June and another warning which came in July, but which did not do much harm as the missile fired did not enter the UAE territory.

New Delhi: The government of United Arab Emirates on Tuesday said that its defense forces were on high alert after they detected 2 ballistic missiles launched from Iran towards the country. The air defences of the country detected these missiles, they said.

The statement was shared by the Ministry of Defence of UAE and came shortly after residents of Dubai received warnings on their phones regarding threats from projectiles.

The country’s Defence Ministry in a post on social media platform, ‘X’, confirmed that the country was on high alert. They added that they were fully prepared to deal with any threats.
