Bengaluru: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar had an angry response when questioned about the steps the Congress government is taking after the stampede outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium, which killed 11 people. He told reporters, “An inquiry has been ordered. Cases have been filed. People have been suspended.”

When questioned by reporters, Shivakumar said, “The Opposition party was asking for a judicial inquiry, immediately. My honourable Chief Minister was kind enough to announce a judicial inquiry.”
