New Delhi: Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in New Delhi on Saturday for a one-day visit to attend the BRICS Summit, marking his first trip to India in seven years. His visit has led to a major security operation across the national capital with thousands of police personnel and paramilitary forces deployed.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to meet Xi for bilateral talks on Saturday evening. Trade and investment ties are expected to be among the main issues to be discussed during the meeting.
