Indian-origin couple donates $20 million to US university for new AI college to be named after them

Indian-origin engineers Anuradha and Vikas Sinha have donated $20 million to the University of North Texas to establish a new college focused on artificial intelligence and advanced analytics.

New Delhi: Indian-origin engineers and philanthropists Anuradha and Vikas Sinha have donated $20 million to the University of North Texas (UNT) to establish a new college dedicated to artificial intelligence and advanced analytics.

The new institution will be named the Anuradha and Vikas Sinha College of Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Analytics, in recognition of the couple’s contribution, the university said.

AI research and college name

The college will bring together academic programmes and research across artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data science, health informatics, information science, library science and learning technologies.

The donation will support six permanent endowments........
