New Delhi: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called on India to stop buying Russian oil, arguing that Moscow’s ability to continue the Ukraine war is closely linked to energy revenues from major buyers.

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Zelensky said Russia was ‘basing its economy on India, sometimes Turkey and China’ and argued that if these countries stopped their energy trade with Moscow, Russia would have to stop fighting the war.
