‘Sanatanis should have 5 children’: BJP MP calls for early marriage, larger Hindu families

New Delhi: BJP Lok Sabha MP Gajendra Singh Patel has urged Hindu youth to marry early and have five children, citing what he described as differences in birth rates between Hindus and another community. Patel, who represents the Khargone-Barwani constituency, made the remarks while addressing an event in Madhya Pradesh on Friday night.

Patel said that many young people now marry at the age of 30, 35 or even 37 and have only one child. He attributed the lower birth rate among Hindus to delayed marriages and smaller families.
