The Bharatiya Janata Party’s maiden and unprecedented electoral triumph in West Bengal marks the beginning of Modi 3.0, much before the next Lok Sabha polls that are scheduled for 2029.

Modi 1.0 began in 2014 when the BJP won a majority of seats in the Lok Sabha under the leadership of Narendra Modi. In 2019, the BJP secured its second consecutive term under Prime Minister Modi with an improved tally, marking the beginning of Modi 2.0. In 2024, the BJP’s tally was reduced to 240 in the Lok Sabha polls. That was a jolt for the party and the government.
