Gov. Tim Walz’s comparison of Minnesota’s revolt against federal ICE agents to the Nazi occupation of The Netherlands belies both his abject stupidity and rank political cynicism (“Walz’s Slander,” Brendan O’Neill, PostOpinion, Jan. 27).

Walz, twisted and miserable man that he is, has managed to insult both the memories of innocent victims of Nazi Germany as well as our dedicated and brave ICE agents.

With his obscene exploitation of the Anne Frank story to make a bizarre moral equivalence between ICE and the Nazi Gestapo, Tim Walz reveals not only that he’s a moron of the first order, but that he sees these violently dissenting Minnesotans as some sort of political martyrs.

There is actually a moral equivalency between Walz and the equally nutty Mayor Jacob Frey and those southern segregationist politicians in the 1960s, whose actions........
