Young Voters Have a New No. 1 Political Issue, and It’s Not Healthcare, Inflation, or Democracy

The younger generations are looking to find a place to live.

Younger generations are shifting their priorities when it comes to voting, putting housing and its affordability as a top choice when considering a political candidate.  

In a survey conducted by CNBC, young voters aged 18 to 34 ranked housing as their top political issue, landing higher than the cost of food or protecting democracy. Housing was the highest-priority issue among men ages 18 to 49 and the second-highest issue among voters ages 35 to 49 overall.
