Consumer sentiment is pushing small firms to protest recent ICE raids, even as many corporate leaders stay quiet.

On Friday, small businesses and consumers across the country joined an economic blackout to protest recent Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids. The grassroots, social media-driven action urged people to opt out of work, school, and spending and saw some shops closed for the day while others stayed open and pledged proceeds to immigrant advocacy groups.
