The US is increasing pressure on Iran, and Europe is following suit. Military intervention is off the table in the European capitals, based on the conviction that a new conflict in the Middle East will not do any good. The most powerful weapon they are willing to deploy is the inclusion of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards – also known as the Pasdaran – on the list of terrorist organizations.
