Suella Braverman was hit with a timely reminder of her legacy on X by her former colleague James Cleverly in a spat about asylum seekers.

Previously a home secretary under Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss, Braverman crossed the floor to join Nigel Farage’s party back in January.

However, in her new role as Reform’s education spokesperson, she seems to have forgotten exactly what she did in government.

The argument began when Reform leader Nigel Farage shared footage from within Cleverly’s constituency of Braintree showing groups of asylum seekers sitting on the street.
