Famed economist Paul Krugman went after Donald Trump over his attempt to fire US Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook, who has vowed to remain in the post and is planning to file a lawsuit over the president’s move.

“This is completely insane,” said Krugman, the 2008 winner of the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences, in an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper.
