Megan Prescott has spoken candidly about her time on Skins and why getting into sex work after the show was “a huge sigh of relief”.

The actor starred as Katie Fitch in the cult teen drama series in 2009, when she was between the ages of 16 and 18, and began working as a stripper after the show, when she was 23 years old.

After stripping, Megan also entered into sex work through the paid subscription service OnlyFans, telling Cosmopolitan her experience on Skins taught her that her body is profitable.

“I was on TV, as a child, having sex scenes, on a show where a lot of people made a lot of money,” she explained. “If we are collectively OK with that (which whether or not we should be or not is a different story) then why can’t I, as a grown woman, take ownership of my image and sexuality........
