Gregor Gall: Is Scotland yet a 'Fair Work Nation'?
Appropriately on the first of May, generally known as May Day or International Workers’ Day, a conference at the University of Strathclyde will assess whether the Scottish Government has delivered upon its vision to make Scotland a "Fair Work Nation" by 2025.
The vision was set out in 2016 alongside the establishment of the Fair Work Convention by the Scottish Government the year before. The convention consists of senior trade unionists and senior employer representatives as a form of social partnership with the purpose of advising the Scottish Government on fair work........
