The Glasgow Film Festival returns from February 25 to March 8 at the Glasgow Film Theatre.

Its Official Selection programme is weighty this year, from the UK premiere of Everybody to Kenmure Street, which documents the Home Office immigration raid stopped by the community of Pollokshields, to its closing gala film California Schemin’, which sees Scots star James McAvoy make his directorial debut.

Retrospective screenings see their tickets go on sale the day of the showing, making them a great last-chance option to participate in the festival. So don’t be afraid to go off-script. Here are some recommended choices for screenings outside of the Official Selection.
