Rain and snow in May is an unusual weather phenomenon that Kashmir has started experiencing only in recent years. This is dangerous for the apple orchards, which are currently in full bloom. What farmers across Pulwama, Shopian, Kulgam and Baramulla are experiencing is not merely bad luck, it is the new normal. And nobody seems to have prepared them for it.
