hen AI giant Anthropic raised $65 billion at a $965 billion valuation in May, the huge funding round instantly made the company’s 39-year-old president Daniela Amodei (and her six cofounders) much richer. So much richer, in fact, that Amdodei now ranks among America’s 400 wealthiest people, breaking onto The Forbes 400 during the toughest year ever to make the cut, with the minimum net worth rising to a record $4.4 billion.

Worth an estimated $15.5 billion, Amodei (and five of her six cofounders; the sixth is a Canadian citizen) now ranks as the nation’s 75th-richest person. She is also the richest woman to join the ranks this year, part of a small—but slowly growing—number of women wealthy enough to qualify for the list.

Amodei isn’t the only new woman in the ranks. She’s joined by three other women as newcomers this year: Catherine Commisso (estimated net worth: $5.2 billion), who inherited privately held cable company Mediacom from her husband Rocco (d. 2026); Wendy Abrams ($4.7 billion), an heir to medical supply firm Medline, which went public in December 2025; and Jennifer Gilbert ($4.7 billion), the ex-wife of Rocket Mortgage founder Dan Gilbert.

They are part of 62 women on this year’s Forbes 400, the same number as last year despite the skyrocketing........
