Filming has begun for the pilot of the The Applewood Mystery in Stowmarket, with crews taking to the recreation ground throughout the week.

David Elmer, the director and author behind the show, says he has been in negotiations with the broadcaster and streaming platform, but decided to film the pilot to "increase interest and give them the full package".
