Denton Village Store, near Harleston, has submitted an application for a premises licence for the Old Dairy on Darrow Green Road, which would allow alcohol sales from the new convenience store.

The shop is Paul and Karen Wilby's project. The couple secured planning permission for the new venture despite objections from South Norfolk Council officers.

The couple previously said they hoped the shop would restore a vital service to the village, which has been without a shop for more than 35 years.
