Ultra-runner smashes record in epic 400-mile challenge

Ethan Norman, from Beccles, set off on May 23 from Land's End with the aim of running more than 400 miles and reaching Ness Point in Lowestoft.

He also hoped he would beat the previous record of nine days, 12 hours, and 45 minutes and qualify as an official Fastest Known Time (FKT) attempt.

Now, after more than a week on the road battling extreme weather conditions, he has achieved just that.

Mr Norman completed the route in eight days, 14 hours, and 45 minutes,........
