The project on the Tin River, a seasonal tributary of the River Waveney south of Bungay, has reconnected the river with its floodplain, creating new wetland habitat and helping to store more water in the landscape.

The River Waveney Trust has completed excavation works and installed six "leaky barriers" designed to slow high flows and spread water naturally across a meadow during periods of heavy rainfall.
