And the winner is… Drove Orchards Farm Shop, Thornham, Norfolk

Drove Orchards Farm Shop stocks everything from the bare essentials to the most exquisite treats, and is also home to a butchery, deli counter, a full greengrocery and beer and wine from more than a dozen Norfolk producers.

Its surrounding orchards provide more than 160 varieties of apples, pears and plums (three-quarters of which are native to East Anglia), which are also used to make fruit juices, ciders, gin and vodka.

Furthermore, there is a production kitchen that makes the most of the products in the shop, creating goodies for the deli counter, including its ever-popular sausage rolls, and single variety apple pies and crumbles.

The judges said that Drove Orchards Farm Shop delivered a fantastic range of fresh fruit and vegetables from the farm and local growers, alongside other ingredients that shoppers need to make a meal. 

“Their dedication to using excess fruit grown on the farm to make apple juice, cider and spirits is admirable, as is their investment in premises and staff,” they added.
