Home to a varied selection of venues serving food, drink and artisan treats, the city offers plenty of reasons to explore its quieter corners.

With its tucked-away courtyard, cellar cocktail bar and reputation for its fresh pasta, Yard in Pottergate has become one of the city's favourites spots.

Friends George Colley and Natty Crothers launched the restaurant in 2021 and it regularly has a queue of diners who want to try some of the signature pastas and tiramisu.

It is a walk-in venue only, so be prepared to wait at busy times.
