Tourist railway marks anniversary by going back to the future
The Bure Valley Railway was built on the track bed of a standard gauge line which dates back to 1880 and operated by the Great Eastern Railway.
It closed to passengers in 1952 - but freight traffic continued for another 30 years before total closure.
Then between 1989 and 1990 the trackbed was converted into a 15-inch railway and a footpath/cycle path running........
