The ‘two-day’ traders at Great Yarmouth Market have been told by Great Yarmouth Borough Council (GYBC) they will have to keep trading at the north end of the market by the car park.

They say they should be able to pitch their stalls at the southern, 'piazza' end, where they were previously based and where they say the trade is best.

They met with officials to raise their concerns this week, but the council did not budge.

Officers insist they want to keep this space open for events and will not let them move, although they say the traders will not be charged rent for their northern end pitches and more will be done to promote the site.
