A couple, understood to be in their seventies, are being treated for burns after a fire ripped through their vessel at the Broads Edge Marina in Stalham.

The woman ended up in the water after the fire broke out, at around 7am on Friday.

The blaze - which is understood to have ignited gas cannisters on board - completely obliterated the boat and caused three others to go up in flames, totalling tens of thousands of pounds of damage.

Shaun Westgate, 54 and groundsman at the marina, said he had been driving to work when he saw the smoke and helped rescue the woman from the water.

"I saw smoke from miles away," he said.

"We had a fire on the river and we tried to help a lady out of the river.

"She was wedged between the boat and the bank and two guys were struggling to get her........
