Man trampled to death by cattle while visiting National Trust property named

John Orton, 78, was visiting Felbrigg Hall when the tragedy happened on July 13.

His inquest, which opened at Norfolk Coroner's Court on Friday, listed his provisional cause of death as 'severe chest injuries due to being trampled by cattle'.

The court also heard he was born on February 3, 1948, lived at St Margaret's Close in Cromer, and was a retired telecoms engineer.
