Santanna Maria Ally, who performed under the name Santanna Oush, died at Houghton Festival on Sunday, August 9.

Police were called to the event at Houghton Hall, near King’s Lynn, at about 6.10pm following concerns for the safety of a woman who had been found unconscious inside a tent.

Despite the efforts of the festival’s on-site medical team, the 38-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

An inquest, which opened at Norfolk Coroner’s Court on Tuesday, heard that the provisional medical cause of her death was hanging.

She was formally identified at the festival by her friend Amber Matheson.

Her sister, Katy Ally, confirmed that Miss Ally was born on May 15, 1988, worked as a DJ and usually lived in Ibiza, Spain.

Her death was initially treated by Norfolk Police as unexplained but is not believed to be suspicious.
