Norfolk MP criticised for trans letter to culture secretary
Clive Lewis has been accused of ignoring the fact the law on the issue is now "crystal clear" after he wrote to Lisa Nandy, the culture secretary.
In his letter, which he published online, he urged her to give more support to groups, like Parkrun, the Women's Institute and Girlguiding.
The organisations have faced legal challenges over their policies since a landmark Supreme Court ruling last year which ruled that the legal definition of women is based on biological sex, rather than how someone identifies.
Parkrun, for instance, still allows biological men who identify as women to be recorded in results as female runners.
Meanwhile, Girlguiding and the Women's Instiute have both been under scrutiny over policies that allowed biological boys and men to join.
