Tyler Wragg's win in the Suffield Park ward has ensured the Liberal Democrats keep their 26-seat stronghold on North Norfolk District Council.

The victory, in what is the first of a string of by-elections in the county this summer, saw Mr Wragg take 485 votes - 65pc of the total.

The vote, which was held on Thursday, has restored the political make-up of NNDC to 26 Lib Dems, 11 Conservatives and three independents.

The by-election was triggered by the resignation of Emma Tooke, a Lib Dem who stepped down after moving to Poland.
