In the aerial video taken of the £300m scheme to dual the route between North Tuddenham and Easton, parts of the newly laid road are visible.

The clip, taken by videographer Shaun Button, also shows vehicles using part of the carriageway in Easton, which has been closed numerous times since construction began more than a year ago.

The project will create a continuous dual road between Norwich and Dereham to ease congestion in the area.

Mr Button, known online as Drone Vision Norfolk, has been following the project since 2024.

He said: "The footage shows part of the works at Easton.

"Some of the road has opened and is now in use.

"Each month, the roundabouts and new route is becoming clearer.

"People online have been asking to see updates from me.

"They trust my work, which clearly shows what has been going on."

But, construction is still ongoing and the road will be shut in both directions between Longwater and Dereham from 8pm on March 20 to 6am on March 23.

A spokesman for National Highways said: "During the full road closure, we'll be switching traffic onto our new local access road between Sandy Lane and the Honingham roundabout, with traffic diverted through our new Wood Lane Junction."

Diversions will be in place throughout the weekend.

Drivers heading westbound are being advised to head east on the A47, join the A11 and eventually rejoin the A47 at Swaffham.

Those heading eastbound are being told to head west on the A47, leave the road at the Swaffham junction and head south on the A1065 before returning to the A47.
