But it appears the street outside has also become a scene of chaos, with getaway driving, shouted threats and motorists fleeing parking enforcement - behaviour so extreme that officers and police have stopped trying to intervene.

The admission came in a letter from a Great Yarmouth Borough Council parking services officer to a person living near the venue, on Yarmouth Road in Caister.

This followed complaints from locals that more than 80 vehicles regularly park on the grass verge opposite Yarmouth Stadium on stock car and banger racing nights, blocking the footpath........
