Councillors reject 'unfair' new housing targets for nearly 10,000 homes
Great Yarmouth Borough Council's leader and other members of the authority's Conservative group are demanding that work is not started on a new local plan for housing across the borough until concerns about infrastructure are addressed.
The government has told the council it needs to build as many as 10,000 new homes by 2045 - increasing its target by more than 40pc.
