Norfolk council agrees to formally object to RAF Barnham asylum seeker plan
A vote at a meeting of the full council at County Hall saw councillors back a motion that the authority should formally object to the proposals for RAF Barnham.
The Home Office is seeking planning permission to use the base, about a mile from Thetford over the Suffolk border, to house the migrants while decisions are made on whether they are permitted to stay or be deported.
