The National Centre for Writing (NCW) is seeking 10 emerging writers from Norfolk, Suffolk, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex and Hertfordshire to join its Escalator New Writing Fellowships for 2026.

Now in its 21st year, the programme offers eight months of professional mentoring, industry insight, and creative development for early-career writers of novels and short stories.
