Wright, formerly of London Road and now 67, appeared at the Old Bailey in London, where he was meant to stand trial for the murder of 17-year-old Victoria, who disappeared 27 years ago.
He previously denied the accusations but dramatically changed his plea and admitted to Victoria's kidnapping "by force or fraud" and murder on September 19, 1999.
He also pleaded guilty to the attempted kidnap of Emily Doherty, then aged 22, in Felixstowe the day before.
