Victorian gasholder site could be turned into housing

The council has revealed where new homes, schools, businesses and care homes could be built in the borough as part of its local plan until 2042.

A total of 31 sites have been put forward, including several brownfield areas in Yarmouth and Gorleston.

Among the sites being eyed for possible development is the Grade II-listed Victorian gasholder in Barrack Road.

Local plan documents say the gasholder must be preserved, suggesting there are no plans to demolish........
