Leigh Shelton, of Fir Road, Thetford, had picked up three people he knew in Littleport, Cambridgeshire, after their vehicle broke down on June 16, 2024.

While driving along the A10 and A1101 towards Norfolk, he began overtaking vehicles and accelerating up to speeds of 100mph.
