Sharon Twitchett was jailed for 19 months after she stole £11,000 of a friend's benefits to pay for beauty treatments, wine and pet insurance.

The 54-year-old of Holy Way, Gorleston had become friends with the victim, who has autism and a range of learning difficulties, through his friendship with her son.

Norwich Crown Court heard Twitchett became his financial appointee, meaning she was authorised by the Department for Work and Pensions to manage his state benefits.

However, while in this position, she then drained £11,129 from his account over a four-year period from 2017 to 2021.

Simon Duvall (Image: Norfolk Constabulary)

Simon Duvall was jailed following a violent campaign of domestic violence.

Duvall, who runs an events company, was "aggressive, violent and manipulative" almost from the start of a relationship with his former partner in 2020.

Norwich Crown Court heard the 44-year-old would often become angry after arguments and told her his assaults were to "teach her a lesson".

On one occasion, he "took her to the top of the stairs", making her fear "he was going to throw her down them".

Duvall, of Kingfisher Close, Cringleford, was sentenced to 28 months' imprisonment after previously admitting two offences of assault occasioning actual bodily harm against the woman between April 2021 and January 2022.

He also admitted controlling and coercive behaviour against the woman between the same dates.

Shaun Rode (Image: Norfolk Constabulary)

Shaun Rode was jailed for 38 months for his role in a county lines drugs gang.

Roode was working as the phone holder for the so-called 'Roo' line, which supplied cocaine throughout Norwich.

Norwich Crown Court heard the 42-year-old has 41 previous convictions for 104 offences - including 26 relating to drugs - between 2003 and 2025.

He was seen by police topping up the drugs phone at a newsagent's in Colman Road.

He admitted being concerned in the supply of cocaine and being in breach of a suspended sentence order - 32 weeks imprisonment suspended for 12 months - imposed in October last year.

Minh Vu Nguyen, Quoc Chien Phan and Van Ha Nguyen

Three Vietnamese men were jailed for their part in running a cannabis factory.

The trio were found locked inside a large industrial unit alongside hundreds of cannabis plants worth up to £237,000, Norwich Crown Court was told.

Minh Vu Nguyen, 23, Quoc Chien Phan, 23, and Van Ha Nguyen, 29, were all found alongside more than 300 cannabis plants.

The unit, in Swanston's Road, Great Yarmouth, was raided by police on July 15 last year.

All three of the men, all of no fixed abode, were jailed for 27 months.

Anthony Templeton (Image: Norfolk Constabulary)

Anthony Templeton had thought he was communicating online with children as young as 12, but in fact, he was talking to undercover police officers.

Once arrested, more than 1,000 indecent images were found on Templeton's phone.

The 50-year-old, of Dudley Close, Watton, received an extended 10-year sentence made up of 76 months' custody and 44 months on licence.

The offences included attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity, attempting to engage in sexual communications with a child under 16 and attempted sexual communication with a child.

Templeton also admitted three counts of making indecent images of a child and possession of an extreme pornographic image.

Jerry Salisbury was jailed for eight months for driving offences (Image: Suffolk Constabulary)

Jerry Salisbury was jailed after he was found drink -driving on a number of occasions.

The 37-year-old failed to stop for police on one occasion and was seen on the wrong side of the road on another, despite still being disqualified following a previous conviction for dangerous driving.

He was jailed for 16 weeks at Norwich Magistrates’ Court after pleading guilty to 17 separate offences that also included driving while high on cocaine and being found with large quantities of drugs in his car.

Salisbury, formerly of Empress Road in Great Yarmouth, previously also pleaded guilty to three counts of driving while disqualified, no insurance, no licence, criminal damage, resisting arrest and possession of Class B drugs.
